The U1 features an upfront, thumb-friendly, backlit QWERTY keyboard that makes data input fast and easy, as well as state-of-the-art Panasonic LCD technology for sunlight viewability with low-power white LED backlighting.

The product’s sealed all-weather design allows for use in inclement weather; its fanless design utilizes heat-pipes to reduce weight and eliminate points of failure; its hot-swappable batteries enable battery replacement without disrupting operation; and its solid state drive provides protection from bumps and drops and expands the U1’s operating temperature range.
